Ivan began to have a passion for drawing at an early age. His first graphic creations were done on a personal basis, already using and exploring a wide variety of techniques; from painting to airbrushing, also experimenting with sculpture through the use of clay and recycled materials, producing Mutoid-style artefacts such as lamps or robots.
He discovered tattooing in 1992 when he met Bob Rose and got his first tattoo from him.
A few years later – thanks to a tattoo machine given to him by Marta, his partner – he deepened his interest in this art and began the path to becoming a tattoo artist.
In 1999, he started working with a studio in Vicenza (Italy).
His frequentation of this circle and meeting other tattoo artists such as Luke Red, a tattoo artist from Verona, was decisive: from him he learnt new techniques and later worked as a guest at his studio.
In 2002, he and his partner Marta set off on a journey of several months across Europe, where he met many talented artists such as Xed Le Head, Tomas Tomas, Alex Binnie, and Ten Ten, who inspired him in his artistic journey. That year in London he collaborated, for many months also with Nica Le Head and Thomas Hooper, in a Tattoo Shop in Camden.
In 2003 Ivan opened together with Marta The Antikapratika Tattoo Studio in Sandrigo (Vicenza, Italy) until 2009 when together they started a four year journey in a camper van across Europe.
During this period Ivan worked as a tattoo artist at many studios such as Blut & Eisen -D-, Visavajara -D-, Lost higway – B etc.. meeting internationally renowned tattoo artists and getting to know many artists who would influence his lifestyle and artistic career.
In 2013 he worked for almost a year at AKA Tattoo Shop in Berlin. The following year Ivan joined the Blut & Eisen Studio, always in Berlin where he still lives and works, collaborating permanently with Marta and producing prints and other artistic pieces.
